Western St. Tammany Hurricane Preparedness Project to consolidate five law enforcement divisions on the west side of the parish into a single operations center including Deputy Chiefs, Criminal Investigation and Patrol, Special Teams, Narcotics Unit, Juvenile Division, background research, operations personnel, secure evidence storage, vehicles, vehicle maintenance, high speed boats and special operations equipment. The public sectors share a ballistic secure lobby and conference areas. Undercover operations and evidence storage have its own concealed sallyport entrance in the rear of the building. This project was a substantial renovation of a former power station, and all new exterior cladding, facades and metal roofing were installed while maintaining the existing structural systems. All new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were installed.
